This article explores the concept of ecological grief within the context of climate change impacts to caribou populations experienced by Inuit in the Nunatsiavut and NunatuKavut regions of Labrador. Study participants highlight the emotional, psychological, spiritual, and physical health benefits of eating caribou and the impacts of a declining caribou population on food systems, cultural continuity, community connections, and health and well-being.
